| 2005—2009年卫生统计资料显示，湖南省500床及以上公立医院以自我积累为主扩张外延，尽管负债经营，但略有赢利。药品费用和材料费用上涨是医疗费用上涨的主要推手。转变医院发展方式，切实增加财政投入，有效控制药品和材料费用，乃是公立医院科学发展的必由之路。 |

| Health statistics from 2005 to 2009 show that the public hospitals with 500 beds and above extended by self-accumulation in Hunan Province. Although management was in debt, it slightly gained profit. The rising of drugs and materials costs was the major promoter of medical costs rising. The main ways for scientific development of public hospitals were as follows，which were changing the development methods of the public hospitals, increasing the government input, and effectively controlling the costs of drugs and materials. |
